Preparations are at an advanced stage for the 49th Zim air rally to be hosted in the country from 8 -11 June 2023.

So far, 28 entries have been received from Zambia, South Africa and Namibia. All participating aircraft and their crew are expected to meet in Hwange for the briefing on 8 June 2023.

Day one will be from Hwange and return to the same station. Day two will be from Hwange to Victoria Falls, where the prize-giving ceremony for participants will take place 10 June.

With the assistance of sponsorship, dedicated individuals and aviators are looking forward to yet another successful and memorable air rally.

The Zim air rally is a navigational exercise to improve basic flying and navigational skills to enable a team to navigate and handle their aircraft under basic Visual Flight Rules (VFR) conditions, independently of technical systems, safely.
