RED SEA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO IMPLEMENT SITA’S AIRPORT SYSTEMS

SITA will deliver smart solutions to streamline passenger processing, baggage reconciliation, and airport operations.

Air transport technology provider SITA has partnered with Red Sea International Airport (RSI) in Saudi Arabia to provide specialised airport systems (SAS) for the airport’s new main terminal building.

This partnership builds on SITA’s successful deployment of its systems at RSI’s Air Taxi Terminal.

The partnership entails SITA delivering a range of smart solutions to streamline passenger processing, baggage reconciliation, and airport operations, among others.

Red Sea International Airport, a part of The Red Sea destination developed by Red Sea Global, is expected to serve one million guests annually by 2030. It is expected to have peak capacity of 900 passengers per hour.

The new systems are essential to managing the volume of traffic, preventing congestion, and ensuring a seamless journey for passengers.

Red Sea International Airport chief guest experience officer Andrew Tyler Smith said: “Our aim is not only to enhance the guest experience from the moment of touchdown, but also to firmly establish our commitment to sustainability.
