DIGITAL & PRINT

In January 2021 World Airnews became a digital publication as a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the effect this virus had on aviation across the globe – grounding fleets and crew and effectively putting a stop to world travel in March 2021. As time goes on and aviation recovers we do plan to bring back a print version but this will – as always – be dependent on the advertising support we receive. Embracing this new technology our digital or e-Magazine is available on desktop and mobile. Subscribers ( paid and free) receive an email notification each month and can read our latest news, features and articles. We still produce a limited number of printed copies as many of our readers still prefer a hard copy of our magazine. For more recent data about our current digital footprint, please send us an email: heidi@airnews.co.za or joan@airnews.co.za

READERSHIP TRENDS

Subscriptions both fully paid for or those sent by organisations to their members as a benefit of membership, account for 64% of the circulation; requested free controlled circulation from governments, the air force, airlines etc. account for a further 15%; counter sales about 21% and the balance are promotional. With the advent of the internet and the rise of digital magazines – the whole of Africa has opened up. No longer is World AirNews ruled by postal strikes or wars in different areas. We are now – more than ever – able to maintain an excellent aviation news presence in the whole of Africa. In fact over the past few years our digital database has grown to 26 972 and it is climbing! World AirNews continues to be well received by the aviation fraternity in Africa.
