IAE AND HADID JOIN FORCES TO LAUNCH AVIATION ACADEMY IN UAE

January 2025 – Dubai, UAE: Intercontinental Aviation Enterprise (IAE) and HADID International Services have announced a strategic partnership to establish the Intercontinental Aviation Academy (IAA) in the United Arab Emirates. This landmark collaboration, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aims to create a world-class aviation training institution to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals in the Gulf region and beyond.

Raising the Bar in Aviation Training

The academy, set to open its doors to students by late 2025, will combine IAE’s expertise in aviation education with HADID’s extensive global network and industry resources. Wissam Mehyou, CEO and Chairman of IAE, expressed his enthusiasm for the venture:

“We are thrilled to join forces with HADID to bring this vision to life. This partnership will allow us to expand the initial project’s operational capabilities and enhance education and training programs.

“Our goal is to set a new standard for aviation training—one that is efficient, responsive to the needs of regional and international students, and offers airlines and operators closer, high-performance training. IAA will not only support the Gulf’s thriving aviation sector but also establish new benchmarks in training excellence for pilots, technicians, and aviation professionals.”

Comprehensive Training and Global Standards

The Intercontinental Aviation Academy will offer an extensive range of training programmes, catering to both entry-level candidates and seasoned professionals. From foundational courses to advanced Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) programmes, the academy will provide tailored solutions for individuals and businesses (B2C and B2B).

The collaboration will also see the introduction of innovative corporate training and certification programmes, leveraging HADID’s four decades of expertise in flight support and international trip planning.

Mohamad Hadid, Chairman of HADID International Services, highlighted the significance of the initiative:

“HADID has been a pioneer in the aviation industry since 1981, providing flight support and international trip planning across the globe. Over the decades, we have seen the evolution of flight support services, having played a foundational role in the industry’s growth, particularly in the Middle East.

“By combining forces with IAE, we are building a robust platform that will set a new benchmark for aviation training in the region and beyond. This partnership reflects our commitment to passing on our expertise and legacy to the next generation of aviation professionals.”

Building the Future of Aviation

This collaboration underscores both organisations’ shared vision of advancing aviation education and building sustainable infrastructure to support the future of the aerospace industry. With shared ownership and a focus on addressing workforce needs, the academy is poised to become a leading hub for aviation excellence, serving both regional and global markets.

The Intercontinental Aviation Academy’s first campus is scheduled to welcome its inaugural class in the last quarter of 2025, further solidifying the UAE’s position as a global leader in aviation innovation and education.
