ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES EXPANDS NETWORK WITH NEW HYDERABAD ROUTE

Addis Ababa, 10 February 2025 – Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest and fastest-growing airline, has announced the launch of a new thrice-weekly passenger service to Hyderabad, India, starting June 16, 2025. This expansion underscores the airline’s commitment to strengthening its global network and enhancing connectivity between Africa and Asia.

The new route will offer convenient travel options for both business and leisure passengers, further fostering trade and tourism between Ethiopia and India. The flight schedule is as follows:

 

  • ET 682: Addis Ababa (ADD) to Hyderabad (HYD) – Monday, Wednesday, Saturday
  • ET 683: Hyderabad (HYD) to Addis Ababa (ADD) – Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the new service, stating:

Since our first flight to Mumbai in 1971, we have expanded our footprint across India, offering seamless passenger and cargo transport. Ethiopian Airlines currently operates over 50 weekly flights to five Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Chennai. With the addition of Hyderabad, the airline further solidifies its presence in India, providing greater flexibility and accessibility for travellers across the region.
