Strategic Move Enhances Customer Support Across High-Demand Region.
Savannah, Ga., April 28, 2025 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation has announced the opening of its newest Field and Airborne Support Teams (FAST) location at White Plains, New York, reinforcing the company’s commitment to customer service and operational readiness across its growing fleet.
Situated at Westchester County Airport, the new FAST base is staffed by highly skilled technicians ready to provide on-site support and dispatch services to the surrounding region. The expansion aligns with Gulfstream’s strategy to position its teams where customer activity is high, enhancing convenience and reducing response times.
“We continually assess our service offerings based on fleet growth, aircraft movements and customer demand as we identify areas for expansion, enhancing our global footprint to better meet our customers’ needs,” said Lor Izzard, senior vice president, Gulfstream Customer Support. “Our customers remain at the center of everything we do, and this shift in forward deployment of our FAST teams was in direct response to their feedback.”
Originally launched in the U.S. to address aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situations, the FAST programme has steadily expanded since its inception, establishing a global presence in 2011. Today, Gulfstream operates 24 FAST bases worldwide, manned by a network of 150 technicians. The programme experienced a major growth phase in 2024, expanding by more than 40%, and further team additions are already underway for 2025, with plans targeting the western U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions.
FAST forms part of Gulfstream’s extensive Customer Support network, which employs over 5,500 personnel—representing more than a quarter of the company’s total global workforce. The new White Plains facility underpins Gulfstream’s ongoing efforts to provide swift, efficient support to its customers, ensuring maximum aircraft availability.
With more than 3,300 aircraft in service around the world, Gulfstream continues to strengthen its support infrastructure as it delivers a next-generation fleet that includes the G400, G500, G600, G700, and G800 models. As the network expands, Gulfstream customers can expect even greater service coverage and rapid response capability wherever they operate.
