HUTCHINSON JOINS FORCES WITH DEUTSCHE AIRCRAFT ON D328ECO® INSULATION SOLUTIONS

Deutsche Aircraft has selected Hutchinson, a global leader in advanced insulation and composite systems, to design, develop, and supply the Primary Insulation and Low-Pressure Air Ducting System for the next-generation D328eco® regional turboprop aircraft.

Announced following the Paris Air Show, the partnership underscores a shared commitment to sustainable innovation and enhanced aircraft performance. Hutchinson’s ultra-lightweight insulation and air ducting technologies will contribute directly to reducing emissions, improving cabin acoustics, and optimising operational efficiency for the D328eco—an aircraft already positioned as a new benchmark in regional aviation.

“Partnering with Hutchinson is a natural fit for the D328eco programme,” said Nico Neumann, CEO of Deutsche Aircraft. “Their expertise in lightweight insulation and air ducting systems directly supports our mission to deliver a next-generation regional aircraft with improved cabin noise that is both efficient and environmentally responsible. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to innovation and sustainability in every aspect of the D328eco’s design.”

Hutchinson, with decades of aerospace experience in antivibration, sealing, fluid management, and lightweight systems, brings significant technical capability to the table. Its selection for this critical component of the D328eco reflects the company’s leadership in environmentally conscious engineering.

“We are honoured to collaborate with Deutsche Aircraft on this forward-looking programme,” said Nicolas Orance, Executive Vice President, Aerospace at Hutchinson. “Our advanced insulation and air management technologies are designed to meet the highest standards of performance and sustainability, and we are proud to contribute to the D328eco’s success as a benchmark for the future of regional aviation.”

The official contract signing, with Deutsche Aircraft CEO Nico Neumann at centre, marked a defining moment in the programme’s progress and highlighted the aerospace industry’s broader shift toward greener, more efficient technologies.
