SOUTHERN CROSS AVIATION: SUPPLYING THE FUTURE OF FLIGHT

At AEROSA 2025, World Airnews caught up with Guilherme Neto of Southern Cross Aviation—an established global aviation parts distributor with a 36-year track record. Representing over 70 top-tier manufacturers including Honeywell, Lycoming, Tecnam, Michelin, and 3M, the company has built an expansive network across 80 countries, with strong partnerships in Africa through companies like Absolute Aviation.

“We’re not manufacturers, but we are stockists and distributors,” said Guilherme. “We supply everything from engines and avionics to batteries and helicopter components—some new, some overhauled, depending on the requirement.” With major warehousing hubs in Fort Lauderdale, Alaska, and Phoenix, Southern Cross is well-positioned to serve clients worldwide.

When asked about innovations such as 3D printing, Guilherme noted its potential for non-certified aircraft, but stressed the challenges of certification in commercial aviation. “Certification is everything in this industry—it defines what’s possible and safe.”

Southern Cross is already playing a role in the transition to electric aviation, supplying components for crash testing and landing gear for emerging technologies like eVTOLs and electric aircraft conversions. “We’re working with both startups and traditional OEMs shifting to greener propulsion,” he added.

The company is also active in Brazil, where it supports Embraer and other players developing sustainable engine technologies.

With its deep catalogue, international reach, and forward-thinking partnerships, Southern Cross Aviation continues to be a trusted supplier in a fast-evolving aviation landscape.
