TRUENOORD SELLS FIRST EMBRAER E190 TO TITAN AIRWAYS

AMSTERDAM/DUBLIN/LONDON/SINGAPORE – 28 July 2025 – TrueNoord, the specialist regional aircraft leasing company, has completed the sale of its Embraer E190 (MSN 19000543) to UK-based Titan Airways. This acquisition marks Titan Airways’ first foray into the regional jet market and will support the growing demand for ACMI and charter operations across the UK and Europe.

Mark Holt, Account Director at Titan Airways, said the airline’s decision followed an in-depth market and operational study. “We identified the Embraer E190 as the ideal aircraft to address a gap in the regional market. This is our first E190, and we are confident it will deliver the efficiency, performance, and flexibility that our customers expect.”

Holt praised the collaborative effort with TrueNoord to overcome supply chain and MRO challenges during the transaction.

“Their team was engaged and supportive throughout, helping us manage complex technical and logistical issues. We’re grateful for their expertise and commitment,” he said.

Ahmed Ali, Sales Director Europe at TrueNoord, emphasised the rising interest in regional jets, particularly from ACMI operators.

“Whilst the journey was not without challenges, both teams stayed aligned and focused, navigating maintenance constraints to deliver the aircraft successfully. TrueNoord is witnessing increasing demand for mid-sized regional jets from operators seeking flexible capacity solutions.”

The Embraer E190 offers a 2,400nm range and a spacious single-aisle cabin, combining mainline reach with the ability to operate at restrictive airports. Its introduction into Titan’s fleet will enable the airline to serve lower-capacity routes more efficiently, complementing its charter and ACMI operations.
