BOMBARDIER OPENS NEW COMPONENT MANUFACTURING FACILITY IN MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA

Bombardier has officially inaugurated its newly relocated and expanded component manufacturing facility in Moorpark, California, marking a significant milestone in the company’s U.S. operations.

The 46,000 sq. ft. site replaces Bombardier’s former Los Angeles-area operations acquired in 2022 and now serves as a modern, collaborative space for the company’s 30 employees. The facility produces key components for Bombardier’s Global 7500 and Global 8000 business jets.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony held on August 20, 2025, brought together local officials, including Janice Parvin, Chair of the Ventura County Board of Supervisors representing the Fourth District, community leaders and Bombardier employees.

“The relocation of our component manufacturing facility was an important move that not only secures our long-term presence in California but also expands our manufacturing footprint in the United States,” said David Murray, Executive Vice President, Manufacturing, IT, and Bombardier Operational Excellence System. “The new Moorpark facility reflects our commitment to both our employees and our customers. It stands as a testament to Bombardier’s dedication to cutting-edge innovation and offering high-quality jobs.”

Local leaders welcomed Bombardier’s investment. “We are pleased with Bombardier’s investment in the area, which clearly states it as a strategic location for its highly skilled workforce,” said Janice Parvin. John Bandek, Economic Development Manager for the City of Moorpark, added: “With Bombardier’s new facility, Moorpark is stepping onto the global stage as a hub for advanced manufacturing. This investment brings cutting-edge innovation, high-quality jobs, and lasting economic growth that will resonate across the region.”

Since leasing the site last year, Bombardier has steadily grown its U.S. presence as both a manufacturer and service provider. The new facility plays an integral role within Bombardier’s global network, supporting the company’s leadership in the business aviation sector.
