Bratislava, Slovakia – October 2025 — AirExplore, Slovakia’s largest airline and a full-service provider of ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) solutions, has announced the addition of a Boeing 737-800 to its passenger fleet. The new aircraft, registered OM-PEX, comes in a single-class 189-seat configuration and is leased from Aviation Capital Group (ACG).
With this latest addition, AirExplore now operates a fleet of nine B737-800 passenger aircraft and two B737-800 freighters, reinforcing its position as a key ACMI provider within Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI operator.
As global demand for flexible fleet capacity continues to rise, AirExplore is evaluating deployment opportunities for the new aircraft across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. According to Martin Štulajter, CEO of AirExplore, the company’s strategy is focused on maintaining a balance between long-term and seasonal operations.
“Our plan for the fleet is to deploy 50% of it on year-long contracts, while retaining the other 50% for seasonal contracts during high demand periods,” said Štulajter. “We are ready to meet our customers’ needs in various regions, and securing this B737-800 provides us with the additional flexibility we need to do so.”
Before entering service, the newly acquired aircraft successfully completed all required inspections and maintenance checks, and AirExplore’s crews—already fully trained on the B737-800 type—are prepared to begin operations immediately.
Štulajter added that the acquisition offers a strategic edge amid current market conditions.
“With ongoing aircraft shortages in the market and persistent delivery delays, adding a passenger aircraft gives us a strategic advantage. The demand for ACMI services remains strong, and this expansion allows us to offer reliable solutions.”
