SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. October 2025 — StandardAero has been selected by Mauritania Airlines, the national flag carrier of Mauritania, to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services for its CFM56-7B and LEAP-1B engines, which power the airline’s Boeing 737NG and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The partnership extends an existing relationship between the two companies. StandardAero previously supported Mauritania Airlines’ Embraer E175 fleet with APS 2300 auxiliary power unit (APU) repairs from its Maryville, Tennessee facility.
An initial CFM56-7B engine has already been inducted at StandardAero’s Winnipeg, Manitoba site, while the first LEAP-1B engine has entered the company’s San Antonio, Texas facility.
“StandardAero is truly honoured to have been selected by Mauritania Airlines for its latest engine support requirements,” said Guillaume Limouzy, Airline Sales Director for StandardAero’s Airlines and Fleet business unit. “We know how critical it is for smaller fleet operators to rely on responsive, timely support, and we are grateful for the trust Mauritania Airlines has placed in us.”
Expanding Global Engine Capabilities
StandardAero is an authorised CFM International MRO provider for the CFM56-7B, offering a full range of services from its Winnipeg and Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) facilities. The additional DFW engine line provides operators with greater flexibility, redundancy, and capacity to meet growing global demand.
The company also delivers a wide array of CFM56 family services, including component repair and overhaul, asset management, and engine health monitoring (EHM) data analysis.
As a CFM LEAP Premier MRO provider, StandardAero supports LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines from its 810,000 sq. ft. San Antonio facility — the first non-airline CFM Branded Service Agreement (CBSA) site in the Americas. Through its Component Repair Services network and Repair Development Center of Excellence, the company has already industrialised more than 350 LEAP component repairs.
Its in-house Aviation Mechanic Training Program continues to develop skilled technicians to support the growing LEAP engine base worldwide.
Mauritania’s Expanding Fleet
Founded in 2010, Mauritania Airlines operates from Nouakchott–Oumtounsy International Airport, serving 14 destinations across Africa and Europe. Its fleet includes Boeing 737-700, 737-800, and 737 MAX 8 aircraft, as well as Embraer E175 and ERJ-145 jets. The airline continues to grow its network with new routes planned for Europe and the Middle East.
