Omaha, Nebraska – 28 October 2025 — Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. company, marked a milestone at the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) with the delivery of a new IFR-equipped Bell 407GXi helicopter to HALO-Flight, a leading nonprofit air medical service provider based in South Texas.
The event celebrated the fifth and final Bell 407GXi delivery in HALO-Flight’s ongoing fleet renewal programme, underscoring the long-standing partnership between Bell and HALO-Flight. The new aircraft integrates Bell’s Customer Advantage Plan (CAP) and GPMS’s Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) — a combination designed to improve operational reliability and proactive maintenance.
“For more than three decades, HALO-Flight has been a vital lifeline for patients in need of urgent medical care,” said Lane Evans, Managing Director for North America Sales at Bell. “We are proud to continue supporting their mission with aircraft that embody reliability, safety, and performance. The Bell 407GXi delivers the power and precision that emergency operators depend on every day.”
Founded in 1987, HALO-Flight provides emergency medical transport across a 28,000-square-mile region of South Texas, serving rural and underserved communities. Its fleet of Bell aircraft enables rapid response to emergencies ranging from accident scenes to inter-hospital transfers, ensuring patients receive timely access to advanced medical care.
The Bell 407GXi enhances mission capability with advanced avionics, exceptional manoeuvrability, and proven reliability in the most demanding environments. Its high-performance engine and spacious cabin allow HALO-Flight’s crews to operate efficiently while carrying critical care specialists and lifesaving equipment.
“This new Bell 407GXi represents more than an aircraft — it’s an investment in the safety and health of our community,” said Travis Patterson, Chief Executive Officer of HALO-Flight. “Our work with Bell ensures we can continue providing the highest standard of emergency medical response for the people who depend on us most, regardless of their ability to pay.”
HALO-Flight’s entire fleet is now enrolled in Bell’s Customer Advantage Plan (CAP), making it the first operator to integrate CAP with HUMS across all aircraft — a move that positions the organisation at the forefront of maintenance innovation and mission readiness. By combining these technologies, HALO-Flight gains greater visibility into fleet health, optimising operational efficiency while ensuring its aircraft remain ready for life-saving missions.
Bell continues to support Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) operators worldwide, delivering reliable solutions that advance safety, performance, and mission success.
