Abu Dhabi Airports and SITA have signed an MoU to explore an AI-driven Intelligent Total Airport Management platform, aimed at improving operational efficiency, disruption response and real-time decision-making.
Abu Dhabi Airports has signed a memorandum of understanding with SITA to assess the joint development of an Intelligent Total Airport Management (iTAM) platform. The initiative would apply artificial intelligence to integrate real-time operational data and support coordinated decision-making across the full airport ecosystem.
Â
Under the proposal, iTAM will serve as a shared operational data hub, drawing information from airlines, ground handling teams, air traffic control, government agencies and internal airport systems. The objective is to provide a unified source of operational insight, improving the ability to detect disruptions early and strengthen the safety and efficiency of daily operations.
Â
Both organisations will evaluate how advanced analytics and autonomous workflows could support the concept, enhancing the flow of reliable, timely data that informs operational planning and response.
Â
Andrew Murphy, Chief Information Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, said the collaboration supports the emirate’s wider digital vision. He added that the initiative will enable Zayed International Airport to evolve into one of the first fully connected digital airports, powered by iTAM as a central operational platform.
