Embraer and Aquarela Analytics develop Smart Planning, an AI-driven solution that enhances inventory management, boosts operational efficiency and strengthens supply chain integration.
São José dos Campos, Brazil – December 2025 — Embraer has developed a new artificial intelligence solution designed to increase data-driven operational efficiency across its production processes. The Smart Planning project, created in partnership with Aquarela Analytics, follows a ten-month evaluation of more than two terabytes of information aimed at improving process integration within the company’s supply chain.

According to Dimas Tomelin, Embraer’s Vice President of Strategy, Digital and Innovation, Smart Planning is the company’s most up-to-date data tool for enhancing operational effectiveness. The solution provides an interactive control panel for materials used in aircraft production, supporting purchasing and stock management. It also offers greater predictability in cases of potential shortages or excess inventory through the use of AI and predictive modelling.

The project was structured around two methodologies: Embraer’s Agile framework and Aquarela Analytics’ Data Culture Methodology. Over ten months, the initiative moved through two main phases, ranging from the extraction and preparation of data to the development of AI models and the delivery of visualisation layers.

Marcos Santos, CEO of Aquarela Analytics, said the collaboration applied the company’s expertise in data analysis, platforms and AI algorithms to transform and integrate Embraer’s operating system. He noted that the complexity of the project increased at each stage, with the scope expanding as results were measured.

Smart Planning has optimised Embraer’s inventory planning and established a foundation for further supply chain innovations. With enhanced digitalisation and greater data integration, the initiative has improved operational efficiency, reduced costs, strengthened quality and reinforced relationships with suppliers and partners.
