ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES OPENS NEW PREMIUM LOUNGE AT ADDIS ABABA BOLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Ethiopian Airlines has inaugurated a new 5,500 m² premium lounge at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, enhancing passenger comfort with world-class facilities for eligible travellers.

Ethiopian Airlines Group has inaugurated a new premium lounge at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, marking a significant enhancement to the passenger experience at the airline’s main hub. The opening ceremony was attended by high-level government officials, the airline’s Board Chairman and board members, executive management, stakeholders and customers.

 

Spanning a total area of 5,500 m², the new world-class facility offers a wide range of amenities designed to combine comfort, convenience and luxury. Features include dedicated dining and seating areas, bars, an Ethiopian traditional coffee corner, meeting rooms, a children’s room, beauty lounge, prayer room, quiet room, smoking room, luggage room and shower facilities.

 

Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr Mesfin Tasew said the new premium lounge represents a major step in elevating the overall travel experience for passengers. He noted that the facility reflects the airline’s commitment to delivering end-to-end, world-class hospitality, while enhancing the experience of travelling through Addis Ababa Bole International Airport.

 

With an investment exceeding USD 16 million, the lounge can accommodate up to 1,000 passengers at a time, making it the largest lounge at the airport. Its design blends locally inspired elements with modern aesthetics, creating an environment suited to both business and leisure travellers.

 

The new premium lounge is now open to Ethiopian ShebaMiles Platinum and Gold members, Star Alliance Gold members, and eligible frequent flyer programme members of partner airlines.

 

With the opening of this facility, Ethiopian Airlines continues to strengthen its hub offering at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, supporting its global network of more than 145 destinations and reinforcing its focus on delivering world-class airport experiences.
