Honeywell has unveiled its Smart Shopping Platform, an AI-enabled retail solution developed with Google Cloud and 66degrees, designed to transform in-store shopping. Leveraging Google’s Gemini AI and Vertex AI, the platform offers personalized guidance, real-time product information, and step-by-step store navigation, bringing online convenience to physical stores.
Honeywell’s Smart Shopping Platform aims to make the brick-and-mortar shopping experience as seamless and personalized as e-commerce. Shoppers using Honeywell Android devices such as the CS32 Personal Shopper can link loyalty accounts to unlock recommendations tailored to their buying history, preferences, and promotions. If a product is unavailable, the AI suggests relevant alternatives, saving time and enhancing satisfaction.
The solution also supports retail staff, enabling employees equipped with devices like the Honeywell CT70 to provide rapid, informed assistance to customers. From locating items to recommending substitutes, associates can now act as in-house experts, improving both operational efficiency and customer experience.
Built on Honeywell’s Mobility Edge™ platform and powered by Google Cloud AI technologies, the Smart Shopping Platform connects digital retail data to the physical store, offering dynamic recommendations and personalised guidance. “This collaboration integrates AI with specialized hardware to streamline operations and guide consumers through an efficient and delightful shopping journey,” said Jose Gomes, VP, Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods, Google Cloud.
Available from February 2026, the platform represents Honeywell’s continued efforts to enhance retail operations worldwide, making stores smarter, more responsive, and more customer-focused.
