AAR COMPLETES AIRFRAME MRO EXPANSION IN OKLAHOMA CITY

AAR has substantially completed an 80,000+ square foot expansion of its Airframe MRO facility in Oklahoma City, adding new maintenance bays and preparing to induct additional Alaska Airlines aircraft.

Wood Dale, Illinois — AAR CORP. has substantially completed the expansion of its Airframe Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Oklahoma City, responding to increased demand for its MRO services and preparing to induct additional aircraft for Alaska Airlines under a long-term customer commitment.

The expansion adds more than 80,000 square feet to the facility and includes three maintenance bays capable of accommodating all Boeing 737 variants. As part of the expanded capability, AAR will soon induct additional Alaska Airlines aircraft for service.

To mark the project’s near completion, AAR hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony recognising the facility expansion, the creation of 200 additional full-time positions, and the planned digitisation of maintenance processes at the Oklahoma City site. The digitisation initiative will be undertaken in collaboration with Alaska Airlines.

John M. Holmes, AAR’s Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, said the milestone reflects both the company’s growth and its longstanding relationship with Alaska Airlines. He noted the support received in Oklahoma City and described the expansion as the start of a new chapter in a relationship spanning several decades.

AAR’s maintenance operations in Oklahoma City date back more than 50 years. The facility is located on the site of Will Rogers International Airport’s original Hangar 2, underscoring the long history of aircraft maintenance activity at the location.

The Airframe MRO operation forms part of AAR’s Repair & Engineering segment, providing airframe maintenance services to commercial and government operators.
