Fourth aircraft placed on long-term operating lease

Specialist regional aircraft lessor TrueNoord has delivered an OEM refurbished Dash 8-400 to Australian carrier Nexus Airlines. The aircraft, placed on a long-term operating lease, is the fourth TrueNoord aircraft to join the airline’s fleet.

The turboprop has entered service immediately, operating regional routes across Western Australia. According to the companies, the Dash 8-400 is well suited to these routes due to its fuel efficiency and performance in hot conditions.

Carst Lindeboom, Sales Director Asia Pacific at TrueNoord, said the delivery further strengthens the partnership between the two organisations and supports Nexus Airlines’ efforts to enhance regional connectivity across Western Australia.

Support from De Havilland Canada’s OEM Refurbished Programme

The aircraft was refurbished at De Havilland Canada’s facilities in Calgary under the OEM Refurbished Programme. The programme delivers Dash 8-400 aircraft that combine established operational reliability with tailored upgrades aligned to specific customer requirements.

Lindeboom noted that collaboration with De Havilland Canada on the project had been positive, adding that the programme provides operators with a versatile platform to serve regional communities efficiently.

Michael McConachy, Managing Director of Nexus Airlines, described the acquisition as an important milestone in the airline’s fleet strategy. He said the addition of the aircraft reinforces the airline’s commitment to providing reliable, community-focused air services in Western Australia.
