Tecnam delivers technical training to Indian flight schools, supporting maintenance capability and fleet reliability as pilot training demand grows.
NEW DELHI — Tecnam has completed a technical training and support programme for flight training organisations in India following the establishment of its direct factory representation in the country.
The initiative involved the deployment of Tecnam mechanics from Italy to deliver hands-on maintenance training and technical support to multiple flight training organisations.
FACTORY-LEVEL TRAINING DELIVERY
According to the company, the programme provided specialised training to maintenance teams at several Indian academies, including ARCA Aviation, Chimes Aviation Academy, Flight Simulation Technique Centre, Orient Flights, Red Bird Aviation and Vision Flying Training Institute.
The training was conducted in cooperation with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), focusing on maintenance standards and operational procedures for Tecnam aircraft.
MAINTENANCE AND SYSTEMS TRAINING
The programme covered routine maintenance, troubleshooting and fleet management practices, including work on Rotax and Continental diesel engines, as well as avionics systems used in training aircraft.
Tecnam stated that the training was designed to support fleet availability and maintenance consistency across its aircraft operating within Indian flight schools.
SUPPORTING TRAINING CAPACITY EXPANSION
The initiative takes place against a backdrop of increased demand for pilot training in India, with flight training organisations expanding their operations.
According to the company, the programme is intended to support local maintenance capability and operational reliability as training fleets grow.
