The Indonesian Ministry of Defense has selected the Pilatus PC-24, with a contract signed for twelve aircraft to support transport, training, and liaison missions.
MULTI-ROLE AIRCRAFT FOR DEFENCE OPERATIONS
The aircraft will be used by the Indonesian Air Force for transport pilot training, air transport, and liaison roles.
The contract, signed with PT E-System Solutions Indonesia as the authorised defence contractor, includes ground support equipment, spare parts, training, and technical support from Pilatus.
An option for additional aircraft is included in the agreement.
OPERATIONAL FLEXIBILITY AS KEY SELECTION DRIVER
The PC-24 is configured for single-pilot operation and includes a cargo door, enabling a range of operational uses.
The aircraft is certified for operations from unpaved runways and short airfields, allowing access to remote locations across Indonesia’s archipelagic geography.
These characteristics were identified as key factors in the aircraft’s selection for government missions.
EXPANDED TRAINING PACKAGE UNDER LETTER OF INTENT
In parallel, a Letter of Intent has been signed for the potential supply of 24 PC-21 turboprop trainer aircraft.
The proposed package includes ground-based training systems, spare parts, and technical support, forming part of a broader training and capability development framework.
REGIONAL POSITIONING
The agreement expands Pilatus’ presence in Southeast Asia and reflects continued demand for multi-role aircraft capable of operating in varied and remote environments.
