INTERNAL SUCCESSION FOLLOWS PARENT COMPANY LEADERSHIP CHANGE

FL Technics, the global aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul provider and part of Avia Solutions Group, has appointed Saulius Bajarunas as its new Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 September 2026. Bajarunas succeeds Zilvinas Lapinskas, who recently assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer at Avia Solutions Group — making this an internal succession within a group structure rather than an external appointment, and one in which the outgoing chief executive remains within the parent organisation.

Bajarunas brings more than nine years of leadership experience in the aviation industry, with expertise spanning aircraft maintenance operations, business development, operational excellence and the management of international teams. He has played a key role in FL Technics’ international expansion and operational growth over recent years — a period during which the company has extended its facilities network across Europe, Indonesia, the Middle East and the Americas, and expanded its capabilities in areas including base and line maintenance, component support and engine, APU and landing gear management.

Bajarunas said FL Technics had built a strong reputation as a trusted MRO partner with an impressive global footprint, and that he looked forward to working alongside teams worldwide to continue building on that success, maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability, and helping customers navigate an increasingly dynamic aviation market. As Chief Executive Officer, Bajarunas will focus on further strengthening FL Technics’ operational performance, supporting continued development and ensuring long-term value for customers, partners and employees across the global organisation. FL Technics is certified under EASA Part-145, Part-CAMO, Part-147 and Part-21, and FAA-145, and operates line stations worldwide alongside its base maintenance facilities.
