ONE SUPPLIER ACROSS THREE STATIONS

My Freighter has expanded its partnership with Baltic Ground Services following a competitive tender process, awarding BGS fuel supply and ground handling services at Ostrava, Tallinn and Riga. The Uzbek cargo carrier had previously used BGS fuel supply at Tallinn International Airport; the new award extends the relationship to the Ostrava hub in the Czech Republic and the Riga hub in Latvia, and adds ground handling to fuel supply at all three.

The consolidation is the operational point. A cargo airline running scheduled services across several European stations otherwise negotiates separately at each, and manages different service standards, different invoicing arrangements and different escalation routes for each contract. Placing fuel and handling with a single provider across three stations reduces that to one commercial relationship and one performance standard, which matters more for a freight operator than for a passenger carrier because turnaround reliability translates directly into whether a consignment makes its connection.

A CARRIER MOVING 40 PER CENT OF UZBEK AIR CARGO

My Freighter, part of Centrum Holding, operates a fleet of ten cargo aircraft from Central Asia, serving trade routes connecting Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The figure that establishes its position is domestic: the airline states it carried more than 40 per cent of air cargo in and via Uzbekistan in 2025. That is a substantial share for a carrier of ten aircraft, and it reflects the geography of Central Asian air freight, where a landlocked country’s cargo capacity is concentrated among relatively few operators and the routes serve as a corridor between larger markets rather than as an end market in themselves.
