ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East has completed a full cabin refurbishment and exterior livery repaint on an Embraer Legacy 650 at its Dubai facility, work the company says reflects the region’s growing capacity to keep this class of project in-house rather than sending it overseas.
FULL REFURBISHMENT COMPLETED AT DUBAI FACILITY
ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East has completed a full cabin interior refurbishment and livery repaint on an Embraer Legacy 650, work the Dubai-based MRO says demonstrates that complete cabin refurbishment and aircraft painting can now be carried out locally rather than outsourced overseas. The project included a full revarnish of the aircraft’s cabinetry, new carpet, and re-covering of the dado panels, overhead panel, sidewalls and ceiling, with all metallic parts replated to match a new colour palette. The cabin seats were redesigned with a modern aesthetic and reupholstered in new foam and leather, work carried out in coordination with Embraer and the seat manufacturer to ensure the finished seats met the regulator’s 16G safety standard, the crash-protection benchmark requiring aircraft seats to demonstrably protect an occupant through a 16G forward deceleration pulse, a standard that governs most transport-category and business-jet seating and that typically requires manufacturer sign-off whenever a seat’s structure or upholstery is materially altered.
“Our ability to offer heavy base maintenance, aircraft painting along with cabin refurbishment at one airport location reinforces our position as a growing hub for aircraft MRO services,” said Nick Weber, regional vice president Middle East, ExecuJet MRO Services. “We are seeing increasing demand in the region for cabin upgrades, and have been steadily increasing our in-house capabilities to enable us to offer a comprehensive suite of MRO and aircraft refurbishment services, reducing aircraft downtime and improving customer satisfaction.” Weber added that the company has supported Embraer business jets for many years and holds authorised service centre status for the manufacturer’s aircraft.
ExecuJet MRO Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, operating MRO facilities across Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe and the Middle East. Its Dubai facility, a purpose-built 15,344 square metre air-conditioned site, provides full-suite MRO capability for aircraft from Dassault, Bombardier, Embraer and Hawker.
