Bell is exhibiting the air medical configuration of its Bell 429 helicopter at the Air Medical Transport Conference in its home city of Fort Worth, Texas, and sponsoring the Marriott-Carlson Lifetime Achievement Award.
Bell is participating in the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC) 2026 in Fort Worth, Texas, the company’s home city, an important annual gathering for the air medical and helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) community. The company is highlighting its support for HEMS operators, including a display of UnityPoint LifeFlight’s Bell 429 in an air medical configuration, and is sponsoring the Marriott-Carlson Lifetime Achievement Award, which honours an individual who has made significant, lifelong contributions to the emergency medical transport community.
“Bell is thrilled to be participating in another AMTC, this year in our home city,” said Lane Evans, managing director, North America. “This conference is a key touchpoint each year that allows us to connect with the HEMS community and discuss how we can continue strengthening their programs for the long-term.”
AIRCRAFT ON DISPLAY
On display in the Bell booth will be a HEMS-configured Air Methods Bell 429 operated by UnityPoint LifeFlight, which flies three Bell 429s to support air medical transport across its network. The Bell 429 offers a spacious, flexible cabin that can accommodate advanced medical equipment and multiple caregivers, with twin-engine performance, modern avionics and smooth handling designed to help crews operate confidently in demanding environments, day or night.
AFTERMARKET AND TRAINING
Bell’s support for the HEMS market extends beyond the aircraft itself: the Bell Global Customer Solutions team provides parts, maintenance programmes and technical expertise to help keep fleets mission ready, while the Bell Training Academy supports pilot and maintenance training using full flight simulators and hands-on instruction. Aeronautical Accessories, Bell says, continues to expand the parts and accessories available for HEMS helicopters, including hoists, Health and Usage Monitoring Systems and glass cockpit upgrades.
Note: Bell describes itself as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Textron Inc. headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, with strategic locations around the globe.
