MTU MAINTENANCE SIGNS TEN-YEAR LEAP ENGINE MRO CONTRACT WITH PATRIOT DYNAMICS

The long-term agreement covers maintenance, repair and overhaul of both LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines, with MTU Maintenance Fort Worth conducting shop visits and on-site events.

MTU Maintenance has signed a long-term maintenance agreement with Patriot Dynamics covering maintenance, repair and overhaul services as well as on-site support for LEAP engines, the company said in Fort Worth on 28 October 2026. Under the agreement, MTU Maintenance will provide MRO and on-site services over a period of ten years, covering both LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines, further strengthening MTU’s presence in the North American engine MRO market and marking another step in the development of its new Fort Worth facility.

“Securing this long-term agreement with Patriot Dynamics demonstrates the confidence our customers place in our capabilities and provides a strong foundation for the further development of our operations at MTU Maintenance Fort Worth,” said Martin Friis-Petersen, Senior Vice President of MRO Programs at MTU Aero Engines.

Patriot Dynamics is also exploring further leasing and asset management provisions for LEAP engines via MTU Maintenance Lease Services. “The broad spectrum of MTU’s services as a Premier MRO makes it an ideal partner,” said David Roajs, Partner at Patriot Dynamics.

“Partnering with MTU is an important step as we build our LEAP engine platform,” said Michael Sheldon, Principal at Patriot Dynamics. “Their technical expertise and comprehensive support capabilities will help us deliver reliable engine solutions for our customers while protecting the long-term value of our assets.”

Note: MTU’s Fort Worth facility, located next to Perot Field Airport, offers approximately 430,000 square feet of production and support space with dedicated engine testing capabilities; it is a Premier MRO provider for LEAP engine services and is currently ramping up the programme.
