Strengthening Asia-Pacific operations with localised maintenance and quicker turnaround times.
Acron Aviation has announced the opening of a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) centre in Bangalore, India, to service aviation operators across the Asia-Pacific region. The facility is designed to improve efficiency by offering reduced turnaround times and minimising reliance on international repair solutions.
Â
The Bangalore centre will initially concentrate on repairing and testing the SRVIVR25, a critical onboard safety system. Over the next three years, its capabilities will be expanded to cover the maintenance of recorders, traffic collision avoidance systems (TCAS), and advanced display systems. This phased approach is expected to deliver regional operators reliable and accessible support.
Â
To ensure global compliance, Acron Aviation is working towards securing the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) CAR 145 approval in India, followed by certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
Â
The establishment of this MRO centre marks a significant step in strengthening aviation maintenance infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific market, giving operators closer access to advanced technical support.
