AIR EUROPA EXPRESS IMPLEMENTS TRAX’S EXPANDED eMOBILITY SUITE

MIAMI – Trax has announced the successful deployment of its expanded eMobility suite at Air Europa Express, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s digital transformation journey.

Air Europa Express has already been making use of several Trax eMobility applications to support real-time line maintenance functions. Until recently, however, the airline continued to rely on paper-based technical and cabin logbooks. The introduction of Trax’s Electronic Logbook solution has now replaced these legacy systems, enhancing data accuracy, maintenance efficiency, and operational processes across the carrier’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft.

The move is particularly notable as Air Europa Express becomes the inaugural operator to implement Trax’s Electronic Logbook under EASA regulations. The solution has long been in use with FAA- and UK CAA-regulated carriers, and the latest adoption signals regulatory confidence in its capability to support wider digital integration across European airlines.

Francisco Borja Mas Boned, Head of Innovation Maintenance Department at Air Europa, said the intuitive design of the apps had eased crew adoption. “By leveraging these advanced tools, we are optimising and modernising our maintenance operations, setting a new standard for innovation in the aviation industry,” he noted.

Nelson Perea, Regional Director of EMEA at Trax, welcomed the development. “We are proud to continue to collaborate with Air Europa Express by replacing their previously paper-intensive flight deck and cabin-based processes with a fully digital approach,” he said. “It is incredibly rewarding helping customers implement additional Trax solutions to magnify the benefit we provide to their operations.”

Trax, a wholly owned subsidiary of AAR CORP., is a leading global provider of paperless aviation maintenance and engineering software products, offering mobile and cloud-based solutions that support aircraft maintenance, logistics, and operational optimisation.

Air Europa, flying since 1986 and a SkyTeam member, operates a modern fleet of 57 Boeing aircraft and serves more than 55 destinations worldwide. The airline is recognised for its focus on sustainability, innovation, and punctuality.
