AIRLINK TO LAUNCH DAILY CAPE TOWN-LANSERIA FLIGHTS

The twice-daily Embraer E190 service, Airlink’s first scheduled route to Lanseria, begins 4 December and will increase to four daily return flights from March 2027.

Airlink will launch twice-daily flights between Cape Town and Lanseria International Airport from 4 December 2026, giving travellers a point-to-point alternative to O.R. Tambo International Airport for journeys to and from the Johannesburg area. Lanseria is positioned to serve communities and businesses on the western side of Gauteng and in the North West province. “Travel options on this route have been limited, and our intention is to give passengers a comfortable and enjoyable alternative for travelling between the two regions, while also complementing our existing services to O.R. Tambo,” said Airlink CEO, de Villiers Engelbrecht.

The route will be Airlink’s first scheduled domestic service to Lanseria, operated by a 98-seat Embraer E190 with window and aisle seating throughout and no middle seats. Frequencies will increase to four daily return flights from 22 March 2027, with an updated schedule to be published closer to that date.
