Aviator Airport Alliance, a full-range provider of aviation services across 15 airports in the Nordic region and a member of Avia Solutions Group, has renewed its partnership with Wizz Air. The new agreement, which spans the next three years, will see Aviator continue providing passenger handling, ramp handling, and de-icing services at Copenhagen (CPH), Gothenburg Landvetter (GOT), and Malmö (MMX) airports.
At Copenhagen, the contract covers flights to Budapest, Belgrade, Gdańsk, Warsaw, and Bucharest, with Wizz Air operating more than 1,800 flights annually using Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. In Sweden, the deal covers around 1,500 turns per year, split almost evenly between Gothenburg and Malmö.
Aviator and Wizz Air first began working together in 2015. With this renewal, their cooperation extends to 12 years, underscoring the strength of the partnership.
“We’re proud of our partnership with Wizz Air, and especially of the fact that it is successfully continuing for a decade, which is a lot in today’s competitive environment. Wizz Air is a significant carrier with 800 routes to nearly 200 destinations in Europe and beyond, and it is a privilege to be a part of their success,” says Jo Alex Tanem, CEO of Aviator Airport Alliance.
From Wizz Air’s perspective, the extension is a reflection of trust and proven reliability. “Throughout a whole decade of working together, Aviator has shown time and time again their expertise and ability to provide quality services. Modern aviation relies on the quality of all its processes, and our partners have consistently demonstrated their commitment to responsibility and hard work. We have complete trust that our fruitful collaboration will successfully continue for the upcoming three years and beyond,” adds Grzegorz Michalec, Ground Operations Manager at Wizz Air.
Aviator’s services cover the full range of ground and support operations, including passenger and baggage handling, cargo, de-icing, freight handling, airport security, hospitality, and the Nordic Dino aircraft washing robot. As part of Avia Solutions Group—the world’s largest ACMI provider with a fleet of 209 aircraft and 14,000 aviation professionals worldwide—the company continues to strengthen its role in the Nordic aviation ecosystem.
