AVIC HONGDU HOSTS 2025 SYMPOSIUM ON SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL WORKERS

NANCHANG – August, the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) Hongdu held its 2025 symposium on scientific and technological workers under the theme “Committed to Innovation and Development and Building a Scientific and Technological Power.”

Lin Dong, deputy secretary of the party committee, general manager, and chairman of the company’s Association for Science and Technology, attended the event and delivered a keynote address. More than 50 representatives from research, technology, production, and management departments participated.


The meeting reviewed the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions on building China into a scientific and technological power. Recognition was given to the winners of the company’s 2025 Innovation Award and Most Beautiful Scientific and Technological Worker honours. Feedback was also provided on proposals raised during the previous year’s symposium.


Participants focused on two key areas: Hongdu’s 15th Five-Year Plan Scientific and Technological Innovation Capacity Improvement and suggestions for strengthening support for scientific and technological innovation. Drawing on practical experience, attendees put forward ideas to promote the company’s high-quality development.


The symposium emphasised the importance of scientific and technological talent, expressing gratitude for their contributions and calling for continued efforts to build strong innovation platforms. It urged avoidance of formalism, optimisation of the innovation ecosystem, improvement of evaluation mechanisms, and cultivation of an environment where innovation can thrive.


Finally, the meeting called on Hongdu’s scientific and technological workforce to uphold the spirit of scientists, maintain a correct course, advance self-reliance and self-improvement, and take on the responsibility of climbing new peaks in science and technology in service to the nation.
