BELL INTRODUCES NEW 429 DESIGNER SERIES INTERIOR AT VAI VERTICON 2026

Bell has unveiled new Designer Series interior options for the Bell 429 at VAI Verticon 2026, introducing updated cabin materials, lighting, and configuration features.

Product Enhancement and Cabin Configuration

Bell Textron Inc. has introduced new interior options for the Bell 429 helicopter, marking the latest addition to its Designer Series range. The updated configuration was unveiled during VAI Verticon 2026 in Atlanta, showcasing enhancements focused on cabin design and passenger experience.

The Bell 429 Designer Series interior has been developed in response to customer feedback, with the aim of refining the in-flight environment for corporate and private operators.

Interior Design and Material Upgrades

The new interior is offered in five colour schemes: Arctic Grey/Charcoal, Charcoal/Jet Black, Crimson/Jet Black, Sand/Jet Black, and Snow/Jet Black. The configuration incorporates a range of material and design updates, including premium leather upholstery, composite panels with integrated sound dampening, and a redesigned headliner.

Cabin features include Alcantara headlining with integrated LED lighting, updated environmental control system interfaces, and ambient lighting throughout the cabin. The upgraded cabin console is available in four- and five-seat configurations, incorporating additional storage, cupholders, a removable ice bin, dual USB-C charging ports, and indirect floor lighting. Interior finishes include multiple veneer options and metallic detailing.

Additional Functional Enhancements

Further updates include enhanced pilot storage with integrated lockable cupholders in the crew doors, as well as anodised door sill plates designed to improve durability and cabin access. Additional interior refinements include upgraded door hardware, flooring options, and soundproofing features intended to improve overall cabin comfort.

Programme Background and Market Deployment

Bell first introduced the Designer Series interiors for the Bell 429 at HAI Heli-Expo 2022. Since then, the company has delivered Designer Series-configured aircraft to operators in Japan, New Zealand, Indonesia, and other international markets.

The latest configuration reflects continued development of the Bell 429 platform, with a focus on cabin customisation and operator requirements within the light twin-engine helicopter segment.
