A SHOW APPEARANCE POSITIONED WITHIN A WIDER REGIONAL CAMPAIGN

Bombardier is showing its Challenger 3500 at LABACE 2026, held from 4 to 6 August at Campo de Marte Airport in São Paulo. The company describes LABACE as the largest business aviation show in Latin America and is attending with a substantial sales contingent, exhibiting at booth SD25. The show appearance forms one stop on a multi-city Latin American tour for the aircraft, taking in Monterrey in Mexico, Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, Asunción in Paraguay, Santiago in Chile, Lima in Peru, Guayaquil and Quito in Ecuador, Bogotá in Colombia and Panama City in Panama.

Frank Vento, Vice-President of Sales for the United States and Latin America at Bombardier, said the Challenger 3500 was a proven performer and that the company was uniquely positioned in the Brazilian market, with the extensive tour attesting to its commitment to the region. The tour structure is itself the commercially informative element: a ten-city regional programme built around a single aircraft type indicates a sustained sales campaign rather than a show presence, and reaches operators in markets that do not individually justify a dedicated event but which collectively represent meaningful super-midsize demand.

CITY PAIRS AND THE RANGE CASE

The Challenger 3500 has a range of 3,400 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.83. Bombardier identifies São Paulo to Bogotá, São Paulo to Panama City and São Paulo to Dakar as representative city pairs the aircraft can connect — the last of these being the most illustrative, since a South Atlantic crossing from São Paulo to West Africa is not a mission profile ordinarily associated with the super-midsize category. The aircraft offers what Bombardier describes as the lowest direct operating costs in its class alongside a cabin specification including the industry’s first voice-controlled cabin and the Nuage seat.

The LABACE appearance follows Bombardier’s announcement in July of the 200th Challenger 3500 delivery, which went to Piero Ferrari, Vice Chairman of Ferrari, less than four years after the type entered service. The company states that since its first full year of deliveries in 2023 the aircraft has outdelivered every other business jet model in the medium and heavy categories.

REGIONAL SUPPORT NETWORK

Bombardier points to its service coverage in the region as part of the proposition. Customers in Brazil are supported by the Authorized Service Facility MAGA Aviation at Catarina Airport in São Paulo, which provides line maintenance, Bombardier parts and tooling for Global, Challenger and Learjet aircraft. The company’s factory-owned 300,000 square foot Miami Opa-Locka Service Centre offers expanded maintenance capability within reach of the region, within a wider network of approximately 100 locations worldwide. Bombardier customers operate a fleet of more than 5,200 aircraft.
