CALC PLACES ORDER FOR 30 ADDITIONAL AIRBUS A320NEO FAMILY AIRCRAFT

CALC has placed a firm order for 30 additional Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, expanding its single-aisle fleet and reinforcing its long-term partnership with Airbus.

China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) has placed a firm order with Airbus for 30 additional A320neo Family aircraft, further strengthening its single-aisle portfolio in response to sustained demand from its global customer base.

The agreement, announced in Toulouse on 30 December 2025, marks CALC’s fifth order with Airbus and brings the lessor’s total Airbus aircraft orders to 282. Of these, 203 are A320neo Family aircraft, underlining the central role of the type within CALC’s fleet strategy.

CALC Executive Director and CEO Mike Poon said the long-standing relationship with Airbus has been instrumental to the company’s expansion. He noted that the latest order reflects a shared commitment to innovation and sustainable aviation, while enabling CALC to continue providing airline customers worldwide with modern, high-value aircraft solutions.

Airbus Executive Vice President Sales for the Commercial Aircraft business, Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, described CALC as a valued long-term partner, highlighting that the lessor’s first Airbus order dates back to 2012. He said the repeat order reflects CALC’s strong understanding of market requirements and serves as a clear endorsement of the A320neo Family. He added that the aircraft’s efficiency, versatility and demand position CALC strongly as a lessor serving a wide range of airline customers.

The A320 Family is the world’s most popular single-aisle aircraft, with more than 19,000 orders recorded globally. The family includes the A321neo, its largest variant, which offers extended range and performance. Compared with previous-generation single-aisle aircraft, the A320 Family delivers at least 20% fuel savings and CO₂ reduction, while offering enhanced passenger comfort through one of the widest single-aisle cabins available.

All Airbus A320 Family aircraft are capable of operating with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with Airbus targeting 100% SAF capability across its aircraft portfolio by 2030.
