DIAMOND AIRCRAFT SIGNS CONTRACT WITH PHOTOMAP AT INTERGEO 2026 FOR DA62 MPP SURVEYSTAR

Diamond Aircraft signed a contract with Slovak geospatial services provider PHOTOMAP at its exhibition stand during INTERGEO 2026 in Munich, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for geodesy, geoinformation and land management, for the acquisition of a DA62 MPP SurveyStar. The aircraft will expand aerial survey operations run through PHOTOMAP’s subsidiary AERIMAP. “We are delighted to welcome PHOTOMAP to the growing community of DA62 MPP operators,” said Mario Spiegel, Head of Sales at Diamond Aircraft Special Mission Aircraft. “The DA62 MPP SurveyStar has established itself as a highly effective platform for aerial mapping and surveying thanks to its operational efficiency, reliability, and outstanding mission performance. A PURPOSE-BUILT SURVEY PLATFORM

The DA62 MPP SurveyStar combines Diamond’s twin-engine DA62 airframe with a dedicated mission system architecture for airborne mapping and surveying. According to Diamond’s own published specifications, the aircraft is powered by two 180hp Austro Engine AE330 turbocharged, jet-fuel piston engines, cruises at up to 176 knots, and can remain airborne for as long as 9.6 hours, with a maximum range of 1,140 nautical miles at 50 percent power, figures that explain Diamond’s pitch on low operating costs and long-endurance mission flexibility. “The DA62 MPP SurveyStar offers exactly the combination of performance, endurance, and economic efficiency that we were looking for,” said Miloslav Ďurica, CEO of PHOTOMAP. “As demand for high-resolution geospatial data continues to grow, this aircraft will provide us with a highly capable platform to further enhance our service portfolio and deliver even greater value to our customers.
