EIRTRADE AVIATION EXPANDS CAPABILITIES WITH STRATEGIC GROWTH AT IRELAND WEST AIRPORT

Dublin, Ireland – 10 November 2025. EirTrade Aviation, the global aviation asset management and trading company headquartered in Dublin, has announced major developments at its facility in Knock, Ireland West Airport, marking a significant expansion in its operational capabilities.

The company has achieved three major milestones — the servicing of four Airbus A330 aircraft, the addition of A330 Line Maintenance Approval, and the relocation of its AFRA-accredited engine disassembly facility to Knock.

“EirTrade can now provide all maintenance services, aircraft disassembly, and engine disassembly services to customers from our facility at Ireland West Airport,” said Lee Carey, Chief Investment Officer at EirTrade Aviation. “This streamlines operational efficiency across the organisation and supports our wide range of services, including asset servicing, leasing, maintenance, disassembly, and component sales.”

The dismantling of the first two A330 airframes (MSN 602 and 607) will be completed within four weeks following redelivery. EirTrade plans to remarket and lease the CF6-80E1 engines to monetise remaining green time, with unserviceable engines later disassembled for component sales to support its A330 customer base.

In tandem with these developments, EirTrade has expanded its technical capabilities with EASA Part 145 Line Maintenance Approval for multiple A330 engine types — including GE CF6, PW4000, RR Trent 700, and RR Trent 7000 (A330neo).

“EirTrade is extremely active on the A330 platform, and the ability to support our own assets from Ireland West Airport will streamline operations,” Carey explained. “In line with demand, we can now support lessors and airlines with redelivery and parking onsite for A330 aircraft.”

The new A330 approvals add to EirTrade’s existing certifications across a wide range of aircraft and engine types, including A318–A321 (CFM56, IAE V2500, LEAP-1A, PW1100) and Boeing 737NG/MAX (CFM56, LEAP-1B).

As part of its drive for efficiency and cost optimisation, EirTrade has relocated its engine disassembly facility to Knock, offering services for CFM56-3/-5A/-5B/-7B/-7BE engine types. The move enhances EirTrade’s ability to provide a comprehensive suite of services from one location, reinforcing its position as a leader in end-of-life asset management and aviation component support.

Headquartered in Dublin with representation across Europe, the USA, and Asia, EirTrade Aviation continues to serve MROs, operators, and lessors globally. Its services include asset management, aircraft and engine disassembly, component trading, and consignment programmes.
