EMBRAER SHOWCASES KC-390 MILLENNIUM AT MSPO DEFENCE EXHIBITION IN POLAND

Embraer has announced its debut participation at MSPO, Poland’s leading international defense exhibition, taking place from 2–5 September. The company will present its KC-390 Millennium multi-mission aircraft in Hall 1 (Booth E18), highlighting its expanding role within Europe’s defence and aerospace sector.

“We are excited to participate in MSPO for the first time. This prestigious event represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite us with our Polish partners. We regard Poland as a nation with a rich and distinguished aerospace heritage, and as a vital member of NATO,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security. “Embraer is committed to fostering meaningful collaboration with the Polish defense industry, and we believe the KC-390 Millennium could play a key role in enhancing regional capabilities and interoperability.”

Embraer is building a European ecosystem around the KC-390, fostering synergies in training, MRO, and R&D. This approach enhances operational capability, strengthens interoperability among allied nations, and promotes long-term cooperation with the Polish aerospace sector.

The KC-390 Millennium has already entered service with the Brazilian Air Force in 2019, the Portuguese Air Force in 2023, and the Hungarian Air Force in 2024. Chosen by 11 air forces worldwide — including eight European countries and seven NATO members — the aircraft has achieved a mission capability rate of 93% and completion rates above 99%.

With a payload capacity of 26 tons, a cruise speed of 470 knots, and the ability to operate from temporary or unpaved runways, the KC-390 supports missions ranging from troop and cargo transport to medical evacuation, firefighting, search and rescue, humanitarian assistance, and aerial refuelling. Configured as a tanker, the KC-390 has already demonstrated refuelling operations both as a donor and a receiver.

Embraer’s presence at MSPO reaffirms its vision for a more integrated and resilient European defence landscape, supported by strategic partnerships and innovation.
