Ethiopian Airlines, Africa’s largest airline and one of the world’s fastest-growing aviation brands, marked the Chinese New Year 2025 with colourful festivities and meaningful events, highlighting its dedication to building strong relationships with Chinese communities globally.

Ethiopian Airlines has a longstanding history with China, being the first African airline to launch direct flights to the country, beginning with its inaugural route to Shanghai in February 1973. Today, the airline operates over 35 passenger flights weekly to five major Chinese destinations—Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Hong Kong—and provides cargo services to eight cities, including Changsha and Ezhou.
To cater to its growing Chinese customer base, Ethiopian Airlines employs a dedicated team of Chinese cabin crew and ground handlers, ensuring a seamless and culturally enriching travel experience.
