ETHIOPIAN SHINES AT AFRAA 57TH ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY WITH MULTIPLE PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS

Ethiopian Airlines wins multiple top honours at the AFRAA 57th Annual General Assembly, recognising its profitability, improved intra-African connectivity, industry service, and leadership in the Free Route Airspace Project.

Ethiopian Airlines has strengthened its position as Africa’s leading carrier after securing multiple top honours at the African Airlines Association (AFRAA) 57th Annual General Assembly held in Luanda, Angola. The awards highlight the airline’s continued leadership, resilience, and commitment to the advancement of the continent’s aviation sector.

 

Ethiopian received four major accolades for its performance in 2024: Airline of the Year for Best Profitability Global Operations, Airline of the Year for Best Improved Intra-Africa Connectivity, Outstanding Service Award for significant contribution to African aviation, and the Distinguished Service Award recognising its pioneering role in the Free Route Airspace Project in Africa.

 

Commenting on the recognition, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr Mesfin Tasew, said the honours reflect the airline’s core Pan-African values and the dedication of its workforce. “These awards are a testament to Ethiopian Airlines’ core Pan-African values and the unwavering dedication of our entire team.
