ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa renews FAA and African civil aviation approvals, strengthening its position as the largest business aviation MRO on the continent.
Johannesburg, South Africa – ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, has renewed its approvals from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and multiple African civil aviation authorities, reinforcing its position as a leading business aviation maintenance provider on the continent.
The renewed certifications cover Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia, representing the broadest network of regulatory accreditations held by any MRO in Africa.
The Johannesburg facility at Lanseria International Airport underwent regulatory audits assessing maintenance record traceability, engineering qualifications, certifications, and quality control systems to ensure full compliance with international standards.
“Maintaining these approvals is more than a compliance requirement. It demonstrates our technical capability and the trust we have earned from regulators across Africa,” said Vince Goncalves, Regional VP Africa at ExecuJet MRO Services. He noted that business aviation activity continues to grow across the continent.
Africa’s business aviation sector is expanding, with more than 400 business aircraft now in operation. Goncalves added:
“We are witnessing notable growth with new aircraft entering service, and international charter operators positioning fleets in the region to meet rising demand. This underscores the continent’s growing importance in the global business aviation landscape.”
As part of its ongoing capability expansion, ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa is seeking approval for its newly installed in-house spray booth, which can accommodate touch-up paintwork on aircraft components up to 1.5 metres in size.
The Johannesburg facility remains the largest business aviation MRO in Africa, with hangar capacity for up to 14 aircraft of varying sizes.
