FINNAIR SIGNS LOIs FOR EMBRAER E190 AND ATR 72-600 AIRCRAFT TO EXPAND REGIONAL OPERATIONS

Finnair has signed Letters of Intent to lease two Embraer E190 aircraft and two ATR 72-600 turboprops as part of a planned expansion of its regional operations.

REGIONAL CAPACITY AND FLEET DEVELOPMENT

The aircraft will be operated by Finnair’s regional partner Norra and are expected to enter service during summer and early autumn 2026.

The addition will increase the number of Embraer aircraft in Norra’s fleet from 12 to 18, supporting additional capacity and operational flexibility across the regional network.

NETWORK SUPPORT FOR SUMMER SCHEDULE

Finnair indicated that the fleet expansion is aligned with its preparations for the Summer 2026 schedule, during which the airline plans to serve more than 90 European destinations, including 12 new routes.

The additional aircraft are expected to support schedule reliability and network coverage during peak seasonal demand.
