Flock Safety has introduced the **Flock Aerodome Drone as Automated Security (DAS)**, a new aerial surveillance solution designed for private organisations managing large-scale facilities.
The platform enables security teams to dispatch drones across sites such as transportation centres, energy installations, healthcare campuses, logistics hubs and retail properties. Built on Flock Safety’s established **Drone as First Responder (DFR)** platform, already deployed by law enforcement, the Aerodome DAS is now available to commercial clients.
Â
According to Flock Safety, the system delivers **immediate aerial monitoring and expanded coverage** through operator-initiated automated drone flights. This capability offers rapid situational awareness during security events while helping reduce costs tied to false alarms and manual guard deployments.
Â
The launch follows a sharp rise in organised retail crime, with reported shoplifting incidents increasing by **93% in 2024**. Flock Safety maintains that the Aerodome DAS can play a role in addressing these threats through faster detection and response.
