Ingolstadt/Manching, Germany – Pilatus has delivered a PC-12 aircraft to the Technical and Airworthiness Center for Aircraft and Aeronautical Equipment of the German Armed Forces (WTD 61). The versatile single-engine turboprop will be based at the Ingolstadt/Manching air base, where it will be used for training test pilots as well as for personnel and material transport missions.
Cost-effective to operate and highly adaptable, the PC-12 offers the German Armed Forces a proven and high-performance aircraft that will enhance operational readiness. Recognised for its reliability and versatility across both civilian and military aviation, the PC-12 will support standardisation training for test pilots while also serving in logistical transport roles.
Barbara Reinhold, Director of WTD 61, highlighted the aircraft’s value to the organisation:
“The PC-12 will help us to perform our training and transport tasks efficiently and safely.”
Ioannis Papachristofilou, Vice President Government Aviation at Pilatus, added:
