JAPAN CERTIFIES EXECUJET MRO SERVICES MALAYSIA TO MAINTAIN DASSAULT FALCON AIRCRAFT

ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia, part of Dassault Aviation, has received certification from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) to perform line and heavy maintenance on Japan-registered Falcon 2000EX aircraft. This milestone marks the first time JCAB has approved ExecuJet Malaysia as an overseas maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisation.

The Falcon 2000EX, a super mid-size jet, is a favourite among Japanese operators for its impressive range, steep approach capability, and versatility on short runways. With 81 business jets registered in Japan by the end of 2024 — making it East Asia’s third-largest business aviation market — the approval opens new opportunities for the Malaysia-based MRO provider.

Ivan Lim, Regional Vice President Asia for ExecuJet MRO Services, said the certification responds to growing demand. “We see potential in Japan, as it is a sizable business jet market, and because operators there want to send their aircraft to an OEM-owned MRO organisation that is certified nationally and internationally,” he commented. “We applied for JCAB approval in response to market demand. As more customer queries from Japan come in, we will look to further expand the aircraft types in Japan we can serve.”

Beyond Japan, ExecuJet MRO Services Malaysia holds certifications from 15 other regulatory bodies, including the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia, the US FAA, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

As a Dassault factory-owned MRO, ExecuJet offers maintenance under manufacturer warranty, with personnel trained and certified by Dassault and other leading OEMs. The company’s capabilities extend beyond airframe maintenance to component and engine support, cabin refurbishments, avionics upgrades, satcom installations, and more.

With world-class facilities in Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, and the Middle East, ExecuJet MRO Services upholds the highest global standards for regulatory compliance and safety. Its engineers are qualified across a broad range of platforms, including Dassault, Bombardier, Embraer, Gulfstream, Hawker, and others.
