KLASJET SIGNS ACMI AGREEMENT WITH AIR CAIRO TO BOOST EGYPT’S TOURISM LINKS

KlasJet, a bespoke private and corporate jet charter company and part of the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, Avia Solutions Group, has signed a new charter flight agreement with Egyptian carrier Air Cairo.

The ACMI agreement, which commenced on 30 May 2025 and runs through 31 October, will see KlasJet operate chartered flights between Milan (Italy), Sharjah (UAE), and Cairo (Egypt) — helping meet rising demand for leisure travel into Egypt during the peak summer season.

Air Cairo, founded in 2003 and partly owned by EgyptAir, Egypt’s national carrier, focuses on operating charter flights from Europe to Egypt’s top holiday destinations. The airline operates a fleet of over 30 aircraft, mainly Airbus A320s.

In a noteworthy development, KlasJet has become the first ACMI provider based in an EASA-regulated country to collaborate with Air Cairo. Despite the regulatory and procedural differences, KlasJet successfully turned around the deal in just three days — from contract signing to the ferry flight to Cairo.

“We have been able to get alignment on all operational and crew-related topics thanks to the flexible and proactive approach of our team – who flew out to Cairo to ensure everything progressed smoothly – and the strong commitment on both sides to clear communication and a partnership-based approach,” said Vytautas Mikuckas, Head of Wet Lease Department at KlasJet.

The collaboration supports Egypt’s vital tourism sector, which generated $4.8 billion in revenue between July and September last year — an important boost for the country’s economy.

“We are delighted to be partnering with KlasJet for these charters, and we know they will offer tourists to Egypt an excellent experience that will add to the overall enjoyment of their stay here,” said a representative from Air Cairo.
