Waterdown, Ontario – 4 June 2025: L3Harris Technologies [NYSE: LHX] has been chosen to supply its cutting-edge WESCAM MX™-10 electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensor systems to Airbus Helicopters Canada, bolstering aerial surveillance capabilities for several Canadian police departments.

Installed on the Airbus H125, the WESCAM MX-10 will significantly enhance frontline patrols, enabling tactical flight officers to respond more effectively to threats including vehicle theft, illegal street racing, and other urban safety concerns. The system’s high-definition infrared sensors and advanced video tracking provide critical situational awareness during dynamic public safety missions.

Building on a Legacy of Surveillance Innovation

The WESCAM MX-Series is a family of multi-sensor, multi-spectral EO/IR systems that support intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and target acquisition (ISR/TA) operations across land, sea, and air domains. In 2024, L3Harris supplied WESCAM MX-15D systems to Airbus Helicopters for integration into the German Armed Forces’ H145M fleet.

This latest deployment into Canada’s public safety sector underlines the growing trust in L3Harris’ sensor systems and their versatility across both military and civil platforms.
