LanzaJet, together with government officials, industry pioneers, partners, and supporters, celebrated the inauguration of LanzaJet Freedom Pines Fuels, marking the world’s premiere ethanol-to-sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production facility.
LanzaJet’s groundbreaking ethanol-based technology represents a pioneering leap in SAF production, capable of scaling to the volumes required for decarbonising the aviation sector. Situated in Georgia, USA, LanzaJet Freedom Pines Fuels is poised to generate 10 million gallons of SAF and renewable diesel annually, derived from low-carbon, certified ethanol, meeting stringent U.S. and global standards.
Functioning as a blueprint for deploying unprecedented innovation in SAF production, LanzaJet Freedom Pines Fuels embodies the company’s ambition to achieve 1 billion gallons of SAF production by 2030. Jimmy Samartzis, CEO of LanzaJet, remarked on this historic achievement, emphasising the collaborative effort among industry, government, and investors to drive innovation and push the boundaries in combatting climate change. Leveraging versatile feedstock options, operational efficiency, and economically viable scaling capabilities, LanzaJet stands ready to support the aviation industry’s decarbonisation endeavors.
