Sixteenth consecutive inclusion reflects sustained sustainability performance
ESG POSITIONING
Leonardo has been included in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices 2026 for the sixteenth consecutive year, maintaining its position among leading performers in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria.
The company was listed in both the global and European indices, which select top-performing companies based on sustainability metrics.
SECTOR PERFORMANCE
Leonardo achieved the highest score within the Aerospace, Defence and Security (AD&S) sector in the latest Corporate Sustainability Assessment conducted by S&P Global.
The company recorded a score of 83 out of 100, placing it ahead of its international peers within a highly selective group of companies included in the indices.
ASSESSMENT FRAMEWORK
The Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices are based on S&P Global’s annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which evaluates more than 12,000 companies worldwide.
Selection is based on a range of criteria, including environmental impact, governance practices, and social responsibility, reflecting increasing scrutiny from investors and regulators.
BROADER ESG PERFORMANCE
Leonardo also reported improvements across other ESG benchmarks, including:
- A reduced ESG risk rating from Sustainalytics
- Inclusion in CDP’s “A List” for climate performance
- An upgraded rating from ISS ESG
These indicators suggest continued alignment with evolving sustainability expectations across global financial markets.
