MAAS AVIATION APPOINTS PATRICK FRANSEN AS GENERAL MANAGER OF MRO DIVISION

Dublin / Maastricht / Kaunas, 6 August 2025 – MAAS Aviation has announced the appointment of Patrick Fransen as General Manager of its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) division. Fransen will take the lead in overseeing the company’s European MRO operations, specifically its aircraft painting facilities in Maastricht and Kaunas.

A seasoned executive with a proven background in aviation and manufacturing, Fransen previously held a senior operational position at the European Support Center, a global helicopter service provider. His new role will see him driving operational performance and maintaining the high standards of quality and turnaround times (TATs) that MAAS is known for.

“My focus will be on operational excellence, team development, and customer satisfaction,” said Fransen. “The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to drive both operational and financial success, a challenge that energises me.”

Fransen cited the dynamic, international nature of the MAAS team and the company’s well-established industry reputation—servicing major carriers such as Ryanair and easyJet—as key motivators in accepting the position.

Mark Gidman, Group Chief Operating Officer of MAAS Aviation, welcomed Fransen to the leadership team:
“Patrick brings extensive leadership experience in the aviation and manufacturing sectors, with a strong track record in operational performance, quality oversight, and commercial development. His background includes managing teams in both aviation and automotive environments, and he is well known for his solution-driven approach and people-focused leadership style. His passion for innovation makes him a great fit for our business.”
