Textron Aviation delivers initial units of new midsize business jet

NetJets has taken delivery of the first three Cessna Citation Ascend business jets, marking the entry into service of Textron Aviation’s latest midsize aircraft.

The delivery represents a programme milestone for Textron Aviation, with NetJets acting as the fleet launch customer and first operator of the new type.

ENTRY INTO SERVICE

The aircraft will begin operations immediately within the NetJets fleet, supporting both business and leisure travel demand.

The introduction of the Citation Ascend builds on the operator’s long-standing use of Cessna Citation aircraft, reflecting continued demand for midsize jets within fractional ownership and charter markets.

AIRCRAFT CAPABILITY

The Citation Ascend is positioned within the midsize segment, offering a combination of range, performance, and cabin comfort.

Key characteristics include:

• Seating for up to eight passengers
• Flat-floor cabin configuration
• Four-passenger range of approximately 1,940 nautical miles
• Maximum cruise speed of 441 knots

The aircraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545D engines and is equipped with Garmin G5000 avionics, including autothrottle capability.
